The following provides a status to date of the OPs in each phase of the pilot public participation process.
Process Phases and Number of OPs in each PhasePre-Phase 1
- All OPs have started the public participation process.
- No OPs are currently in the registrant error-only comment period.
Phase 2
- Registrant error correction comments on preliminary risk assessments are now being considered for 1 OP.
Phase 3
- 2 OP preliminary risk assessments are currently available for public comment.
Phase 4
- Public comments on preliminary risk assessments are now being considered for 3 OPs, and revised risk assessments are being developed.
Phase 5
- 4 OPs are currently in the phase where revised risk assessments are released to the public and EPA opens a 60-day public participation period on risk management.
Phase 6
- Risk management proposals are being developed or implemented for 28 OPs.
Other
- 11 OPs have been canceled or are in the process of being canceled.
