8/7/02 Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of  methyl anthranilate on all food commodities when applied/used in accordance with good agricultural practices. Bird Shield Repellent Corporation submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA), requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of methyl anthranilate.
2/27/02 Petition for Tolerance Exemption  EPA has received a pesticide petition [1F6271] from Bird Shield Repellent Corporation, of Pullman, WA  proposing to establish an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for the biochemical pesticide Methyl anthranilate for all food commodities.

6/8/01 Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the Methyl anthranilate on corn and sunflower when applied/used as a bird repellent. Bird Shield Repellent Corporation submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996, requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of methyl anthranilate on corn and sunflower and reassess the existing tolerance exemption for Methyl anthranilate.

9/25/98 Experimental Use Permit Granted - 58035-EUP-4. Issuance. R J Advantage, Inc., 501 Murray Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45217-1014. This experimental use permit allows the use of 5,056 pounds of the biochemical Methyl anthranilate to be used as an aerosol fogger to repel birds on a total of 1,600 acres in or around airports, backyards, electrical substations, golf courses, terrestrial roosts, transit or railway terminals, and urban areas. The program is authorized only in the States of California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. The experimental use permit is effective from July 15, 1998 to July 15, 2000.

4/26/95 Tolerance Exemption Established - This document establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the biochemical Methyl anthranilate in or on the raw agricultural commodities blueberry, cherry, and grape when the pesticide is used in accordance with good agricultural practices. The Interregional Research Project No. 4 (IR-4) requested this exemption in a petition submitted to EPA
2/22/95 Petition for Tolerance Exemption The Interregional Research Project No. 4 (IR-4), New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, P.O. Box 231, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ 08903, has submitted pesticide petition (PP) 2E4071 to EPA on behalf of the Agricultural Experiment Station of Washington. Pesticide petition 2E4071 requests that the Administrator establish exemptions from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the biochemical Methyl anthranilate in or on the raw agricultural commodities blueberry, cherry, and grape.

11/16/94 New Active Ingredient Approved - EPA issued a notice, published in the Federal Register of April 29, 1994 , which announced that PMC Specialties Group, Inc., 501 Murray Road, Cincinnati, OH 45217, had submitted four applications to conditionally register the pesticide products ReJeX-iT AP-50, ReJeX-iT TP-40, ReJeX-iT MA, and ReJeX-iT AG- 36 (File Symbols 58035-A, 58035-T, 58035-I, and 58035-O), containing the active ingredient Methyl anthranilate (CAS No. 134-20-3) at 50, 40, 100, and 14.5 percent respectively, an active ingredient not included in any previously registered products. The applications  were approved on September 16, 1994.
