2/18/04 Establishment of Tolerance - This regulation establishes a tolerance for residues of aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride (aviglycine HCl) in or on apple, pear and the stone fruits crop group 12, excepting cherries. Valent BioSciences Corporation of Libertyville, IL requested this tolerance. This regulation is effective February 18, 2004.

9/6/01 Experimental Use Permit Granted - EPA has issued the following EUP: 73049-EUP-1.  Amendment/Extension. Valent BioSciences Corporation. This EUP allows the use of 292 pounds of the plant regulator aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) on 2,650 acres of stone fruits (apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, plums, and prunes) to evaluate harvest benefits in an expanded use area (larger-scale field testing). The program is authorized only in the States of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. The EUP is effective from June 25, 2001 to December 21, 2003. A temporary tolerance of 0.170 part per million (ppm) has been established for residues of the active ingredient in or on food commodities of the stone fruit crop group.
7/12/01 Establishment of Temporary Tolerance - This regulation establishes a temporary tolerance of 0.170 part per million (ppm) for residues of aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) in or on the stone fruit crop group when applied/used as a plant regulator. In the Federal Register of 3/28/01 , EPA issued a notice announcing the filing of a pesticide tolerance petition (PP 9G5048, transferred from Abbott Laboratories) by Valent BioSciences Corporation, of Libertyville, IL. The temporary tolerance will expire on December 21, 2003
3/28/01 Petition for Permanent Tolerance (PP6F4632) EPA has received a request from Valent BioSciences Corporation of Libertyville, IL, referencing pesticide petition PP-6F4632 (transferred from Abbott Laboratories), proposing pursuant to section 408(d) of the FFDCA, 21 U.S.C. 346a(d), to amend 40 CFR 180.502 by establishing permanent tolerances for residues of the biochemical pesticide aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) in or on the food commodities apples and pears at 0.08 part per million (ppm).

6/10/99 Temporary Tolerance Exemption Established (PP 9G5048) for Aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG) in or on food commodities of the stone fruit crop group.  The temporary tolerance will expire on April 1, 2001 - from Abbott Laboratories of North Chicago Il.
