8/13/03 Tolerance Exemption Correction - EPA issued a final rule in the Federal Register of 7/9/03, establishing an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of diallyl sulfides (DADs) in/or garlic, leeks, onions, and shallots. This document corrects a typographical error in the preamble that appeared in that document.
7/9/03 Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of diallyl sulfides (DADs) in/on garlic, leeks, onions, and shallots. Platte Chemical Company submitted a petition to EPA under section 408(d)(1)(B) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of DADs in/on garlic, leeks, onions, and shallots. See correction published on 8/13/03
