2. EPA issued a notice, published in the Federal Register of May 8, 2002, which announced that AgraQuest, Inc, of Davis, CA had submitted an application to register the pesticide product, QST 2808 Technical (later renamed QST 2808 MUP), as a fungicide (EPA File Symbol 69592-A)), containing spores of B. pumilus strain QST 2808. This product was not previously registered. The application was approved on October 14, 2004 for two products: The end use product Sonata ASO (EPA Reg. No. 69592-13), containing 1.38% of active ingredient by weight, for control of various fungal diseases on crops; and QST 2808 MUP (EPA Reg. No. 69592-6), containing 1.42% of active ingredient by weight, for manufacturing the end use product.
11/03/04 Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the Bacillus pumilus strain QST 2808 in or on food commodities when applied/used in accordance with label directions. AgraQuest, Inc submitted a petition to EPA requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of Bacillus pumilus strain QST2808.
5/5/04 Petition for Tolerance - EPA has received a pesticide petition (PP 4F6826) from AgraQuest, Inc. of Davis, CA proposing to amend 40 CFR part 180 by establishing a tolerance for residues of SonataTM ASO, which contains the QST 2808 strain of Bacillus pumilus, to control various plant diseases such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, Phytophthera, Sclerotinia, Cercospora, and/or rust on the following vegetable crop groups: Brassica, bulb, cucurbits, fruiting, leafy, legume, and root and tuber; on the following fruit crop groups: pome and stone; on the grain, cereal, group; and the following individual crops: grape, grasses grown for seed, hop, mint, peanuts, strawberry, sweet corn, tobacco, field grown roses, and certain trees.

8/20/03 Experimental Use Permit Issued - 69592-EUP-1. for AgraQuest, Inc, This EUP allows the use of 2,371.2 pounds of the fungicide Bacillus pumilus strain QST2808 on 3,955 total acres of brassica, bulb vegetables, cereal grains, cucurbits, fields of roses, forestry, fruiting vegetables, grapes, grass seed, hops, landscape, leafy vegetables, legume vegetables, mint, peanuts, pome fruits, root/tuber vegetables, stone fruits, strawberries, and sugarbeets to obtain phytotoxicity data over a large geographical area and to evaluate the control of various plant pathogens The EUP is effective from June 6, 2003 to June 30, 2005. A temporary exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the Bacillus pumilus strain QST2808 in or on all agricultural commodities has been established.
6/18/03 Temporary Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes a temporary exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the Bacillus pumilus strain QST2808 in or on all agricultural commodities when applied/used in accordance with label directions. AgraQuest, Inc. submitted a petition to EPA requesting the temporary tolerance exemption. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of Bacillus pumilus strain QST2808. The temporary tolerance exemption will expire on June 30, 2006.

5/3/01 >Application for Experimental Use Permit - AgraQuest, Inc. of Davis, CA 95616 has requested an EUP for the microbial pesticide Bacillus pumilus Strain QST 2808 for a 2 year period, commencing March 1, 2001 and ending March 1, 2003. The objective of this EUP is to obtain efficacy and phytotoxicity data over a large geographical area on many important minor crops.
5/3/01 Petition for Temporary Tolerance Exemption - EPA has received a pesticide petition 1G6240 from AgraQuest, Inc. of Davis, CA , proposing to establish a temporary exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for the microbial pesticide Bacillus pumilus strain QST 2808 in or on all raw agricultural commodities (RAC).
