Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the biochemical harpin protein on all food commodities when applied/used to enhance plant growth, quality and yield, to improve overall plant health, and to aid in pest management. EDEN Bioscience Corporation submitted a petition to EPA requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of harpin protein.
1/28/04 Petition for amendment of tolerance exemption received - EPA has received a pesticide petition (3F6765) from EDEN Bioscience Corporation of Bothell, WA to establish an amendment of the existing tolerance exemption for the biochemical pesticide harpin protein on all raw agricultural commodities.
