PHRE Online Tutorial
PHRE Headquarters is located on the 4th floor of the Ronald Reagan Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in downtown Washington, DC and is easily accessible by public transportation.
The nearest Metro station is Federal Triangle on the Blue and Orange Lines. As you exit the Federal Triangle station, do not take the final bank of escalators all the way up to the street level but rather stay to the right and follow the signs to the fully sheltered, below-ground entrance to the Reagan Building immediately adjacent to the station.
Both the Red Line and the Blue and Orange Lines stop at the Metro Center station 2½ blocks north of the Reagan Building. If you are taking the Red Line to Metro Center, you can either change there to the Blue and Orange Lines to Federal Triangle or, weather permitting, exit the station via the 13th Street exit and walk south on 13th Street 2½ blocks to Pennsylvania Avenue and the Reagan Building. When you arrive at the Reagan Building, you can enter at any available street-level entrance.
Once you enter the Reagan Building, you will first need to show a government-issued picture ID, such as a driver's license, and go through a security check. Once you have completed the security check, ask to be directed to the EPA Lobby. At the EPA lobby you will need to show your ID again and register with the security guard there in order to be issued a visitor's pass for EPA's portion of the building. Give the guard the name of the PHRE Administrative Assistant (Lu-Ann Kleibacker) and the Program's main telephone number (564-2677), and Lu-Ann will send someone down to meet you and escort you to our offices when called by the guard.
