Thyme herbs and ground sesame plant have no active federal product registrations and, therefore, are no longer scheduled for registration review. The last federally registered thyme herbs (PC code 128894) and ground sesame plant (PC code 128970) products were cancelled for for non-payment of the required annual maintenance fees in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
Products containing thyme herbs and ground sesame plant are "miniumum risk pesticides" exempt from the requirements of FIFRA. Thyme herbs and ground sesame plant also are exempted from tolerance requirements under FFDCA. EPA requires no further risk assessments or submission of data for these uses of thyme herbs and ground sesame plant when these active ingredients are used in a manner compliant with 40 CFR 152.24(f).
