Pesticide News Story: Tribal Pesticide Program Council Meeting October 14-15

The Tribal Pesticide Program Council (TPPC) will meet on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, and Thursday, October 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The meeting, sponsored by EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), will be held in the OPP 4th Floor South Conference Room, One Potomac Yard, 2777 S.Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202.
Agenda topics include:
- Remarks from the new OPPTS Assistant Administrator.
- Report on the international IPM conference.
- Presentation on the inspection needs of tribes along the Colorado River.
- Update from EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
- EPA Regional reports.
- Discussion on the use of restricted-use pesticides in Indian country.
- Tribal Caucus (TPPC only).
