Pesticide News Story: PRIA 2 Fee Reductions for Certain Types of Applications

The Agency recently published guidance describing the types of applications that will receive an automatic reduction in their registration service fees under the Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act (PRIA 2). In general, fees are reduced when a number of applications depend upon a single set of data. The application submitted with the data is the primary application, while the additional applications that are dependent on the same data are called the secondary applications. The tables accompanying the guidance (located on the Web page in the “Related Information” box), entitled New Products Submitted with New Use Requests and Primary/Secondary New Product Applications, list the amount of the reduced fee and the Agency’s tracking code for an application. Examples of different types of applications and their fees are also provided.
