Pesticide News Story: Spot-on Flea and Tick Product Registrant Meeting Summary Available

EPA has updated its Web page about the increased scrutiny of flea and tick control pesticide products for pets. On May 5, 2009, EPA called a meeting with registrants of spot-on pet pesticide products to discuss pet incident reports and the Agency's plans to develop an enhanced evaluation of spot-on products. EPA is providing on the Web page the meeting's agenda, presentation slides, attendance sheet, meeting minutes, and a summary of post-meeting communication with the registrants.
EPA is committed to transparency in our steps towards addressing the public's shared concerns about pet incidents, and will continue to update the public about the status of the Agency's enhanced evaluation of spot-on pesticide products.
