Pesticide News Story: Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee to Meet May 21-22, 2008

On May 21-22, 2008, EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) will hold a public meeting of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC). The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 21, from 9:00 am to 5:15 pm, and Thursday, May 12, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in OPP’s first floor conference center at One Potomac Yard, 2777 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202.

A draft agenda will be posted on EPA’s Web site. Agenda topics include sessions on Web-Based Labeling; Toxicity Testing; Harmonization/Update on Global Registration, Workshare, MRLs, and Activities with China; Registration Updates covering Registration, Reregistration, and Registration Review; OPP Resources; the PPDC Workgroup on PRIA (Pesticide Registration Improvement Act) Process Improvements; and Endangered Species. Time will be allocated on both days for public comment, and outside statements by observers are encouraged and welcomed. Each oral statement will, however, be limited to 3-5 minutes, and it is preferred that only one person per organization present a statement. Any person who wishes to file a written statement may do so before or after the meeting. Further information about PPDC is available on the Web page listed above.
