Pesticide News Story: Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee Meets on May 9 and 10, 2007; Worker Safety Workgroup Meets on May 8

EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs will hold a meeting of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) on May 9 and 10, 2007. In addition, the PPDC Worker Safety Work Group will meet prior to the PPDC meeting on May 8, 2007. The purpose of PPDC is to provide advice and recommendation to the EPA Administrator on issues associated with pesticide regulatory development and reform initiatives, evolving public policy and program implementation issues, and science issues associated with evaluating and reducing risks from use of pesticides.

The PPDC meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, May 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The PPDC Worker Safety Work Group will meet on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at EPA’s Conference Center, Lobby Level, One Potomac Yard (South Building), 2777 S. Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA. This location is approximately a half mile from the Crystal City Metro Station. The PPDC workgroup meetings are open to the public. Persons interested in attending do not need register in advance of the meeting. Seating is available on a first-come basis. Public comment is welcome at the conclusion of the meeting.
