Guidance for running Estuary Example

Create a folder on your hard disk (C in this example): C:\est_example
From the ARM website download est_example.zip into est_example
Unzip est_example.zip into est_example
There should be two folders (original_data and est_results) and three files (adjustwts, estimation, estexamguide) in est_example
Start R

Option A: Create and Paste a R shortcut into est_example, right click on shortcut, select Properties, and enter directory information into Start In: "C:\est_example" - (use of " " required)
Option B: Start R, under File pulldown menu select Change Dir, and browse to est_example, click on OK (in two windows)

Under Packages pulldown menu, select load packages, select psurvey.analysis
Open adjustwts.txt (Wordprocessor or NotePad), copy all and paste into R
R writes the file designstatus.csv into est_example
Open estimation.txt, copy all and paste into R
R writes several files to est_example, including the cdf plots
In R, under File pulldown menu, select Save to File and save the R Console in est_example
If desired, compare your results with files in sub-folder est_results
