Dr. Omowunmi Sadik is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the State University of New York-Binghamton. She received her PHD in Chemistry from the University of Wollongong, Australia and did her postdoctoral research at the US-Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA). Dr. Sadik has held appointments at Harvard University, Cornell University and Naval Research Laboratories in Washington. As a resident National Research Council Fellow at the EPA, she initiated and developed novel sensors for environmental monitoring. Sadik’s research interests are in bioanalytical chemistry, materials and environmental chemistry. Her research programs focus on the theoretical aspects of the transduction of chemical information at interfaces and development of generic sensor materials. Recent works include the bioanalytical chemistry of endocrine disrupting chemicals and the development of nanostructured materials for sensing and remediation.
