Innovative Approaches to Particulate Matter Health, Composition, and Source Questions Grants Kick-Off Meeting

June 10, 2009 - The ability of epidemiologic studies to link health outcomes to sources and components of air pollution may be improved by incorporating more advanced measurement and modeling approaches, which strengthen the air quality and exposure aspects of the work. New projects bring the full atmospheric science toolkit to bear while addressing difficult source attribution questions. EPAs National Center for Environmental Research, Science To Achieve Results (STAR) grantees will meet to discuss research plans, methods, and early results with scientists from EPA, state agencies, other federal agencies, and industry. Presentations will summarize the objectives, study methods, and anticipated results of research projects.
