Steve Fetter, Principal Assistant Director of Environment
Dr. Fetter is the Principal Assistant Director for Environment and Energy, and the Assistant Director At-Large at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. His interests include nuclear arms control and nonproliferation, nuclear energy and effects of radiation, and climate change and carbon-free energy supply. He has been an advisor to several government agencies, scientific organizations, and nongovernmental organizations, and has held visiting positions at Stanford, Harvard, and MIT. He is currently on leave from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy where he has been on the faculty since 1988. He received a Ph.D. in energy and resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and an S.B. in physics from MIT.
