DESCRIPTION

This final background document presents information collected on boric acid production in
support of the inorganic chemical listing determination and rulemaking.

ABSTRACT

EPA compiled information regarding wastes from the manufacture of boric acid as part of its
listing determinations for wastes generated by the inorganic chemical manufacturing industry. 
This document is an updated background document, revised to reflect comments from the boric
acid industry on the preceding draft (that was prepared for the proposed rule (65 FR 55684)).
