EPA offers free Grant-Writing Workshop

Denver -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will present a free Grant-Writing Workshop at the EPA Regional Conference Center on October 27, 2004, from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. Topics to be covered include:

• Overview of Region 8 Grant Program
• Types of projects eligible for EPA grants
• How to complete a federal grant application and budget forms
• How to write an effective proposal
• Understanding the grant application and approval process

The workshop is open to all eligible grant recipients. Eligible applicants include nonprofit groups, state, local or Tribal schools, colleges or universities and state or local governments.
