(05/13/03) EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will recognize 18 Department of Veterans Health Administration hospitals for their superior energy efficiency earning the ENERGY STAR designation. Whitman will be joined by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Anthony J. Principi and Department of Energy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, David Garman. The event, to be held at the Department of Veterans Affairs, in Washington, D.C. to honor federal leadership in energy and environmental achievements in the healthcare sector.

WHAT: Event recognizing the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration for their efforts to track energy performance of 18 hospitals using the national energy performance rating system, qualifying for the ENERGY STAR designation
