U.S. EPA TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING IN SANTA MARIA ON CASMALIA

    (San Francisco) -- The U.S. EPA will hold a public meeting on the Casmalia Resources Hazardous Waste Management Facility on Wednesday, June 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Betteravia Government Center, 511 E. Lakeside Parkway, Santa Maria.

     The meeting topics will include: an overview of negotiations with the responsible parties for their assumption of financial responsibility for site remediation and long-term maintenance; the transition of site management from U.S. EPA by the responsible parties; and, information about the consent decree, workplan, and current site conditions.
