COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES FROM THE SOUTHEAST AND PUERTO RICO MEET TO GO GREEN

(Atlanta, Ga. – October 22, 2008) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Spelman College, with support from the National Wildlife Federation, will host the 2008 Collegiate Environmental Sustainability Conference on October 23-24, 2008 at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities throughout the southeast and Puerto Rico will be attending the conference to discuss sustainability ideas that range from the practice of day-to-day management of the campus buildings to “green” curriculum development and “’green” utilization of campus resources. The conference will offer outstanding educational sessions, keynote speakers, exhibits, and on-campus tours of sustainability projects, including “The SUITES,” Spelman’s new green residence hall.
