EPA to host Decontamination Research and Development Conference

(Durham, NC – April 12, 2010) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Homeland Security Research Center will hold its 2010 Decontamination Research and Development Conference on April 13-15, 2010 at the Hilton Raleigh-Durham Airport Hotel in North Carolina.

This year’s conference will focus on the decontamination of indoor and outdoor areas and of materials contaminated with biological, chemical, and radiological agents. EPA Office of Research and Development Assistant Administrator, Dr. Paul Anastas, will open the conference with remarks about protecting human health and the environment through scientific innovation. The Honorable David Price, Congressman for the Fourth District of North Carolina, will deliver the keynote address.
