EPA PESTICIDE PROGRAM DIALOGUE COMMITTEE
MEETING JAN. 7-8, 1999 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.


The EPA Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) will hold its next meeting on Jan. 7-8, 1999, at the Holiday Inn Capitol, 550 C Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. (Telephone 202-479-4000). The PPDC was established in September 1995 to provide advice and guidance to the Agency regarding pesticide regulatory, policy, and implementation issues. The group is composed of participants from environmental/public interest groups, pesticide industry and user groups, Federal agencies, State governments, academia and the public health community. The committee will meet from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7 and from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8. Topics planned for discussion include the inerts strategy, FQPA implementation activities, ecological standards, and BT resistance management. All meetings are open to the public and both written and oral statements from observers are welcome. Oral statements presented during the meeting will be limited to 3-5 minutes and it is preferred that only one person per organization present the statement. Written statements can be filed before or after the meeting.
