EPA Announces 2nd Southeastern Symposium on Sustainable Environmental Practices at College and Universities

(ATLANTA – May 17, 2011) The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Spelman College will co-host the 2nd Annual Southeastern Symposium on Sustainable Environmental Practices at Colleges and Universities on June 6 – 7, 2011. The event will be held at the Spelman College Sisters Chapel in Atlanta, GA.

The agenda will include sessions on Symposium that features presentations on sustainable facilities and infrastructure practices; food public policy, production pedagogy and community gardens; accessing environmental funding; developing environmental programs and initiatives. This conference will showcase the information to achieve operational savings, enhance programs, and reduce environmental impacts.
