EPA provides comment period for approval of plan to dispose of PCBs at Veolia Emerald Park Landfill

(Chicago, Ill. - Dec. 27, 2007) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 is providing a comment period until Thursday, Jan.10, for the proposed plan to dispose of waste with less than 50 parts per million PCBs at the Veolia Emerald Park Landfill in Muskego, Wis.

Residents are invited to share opinions on disposal of waste containing less than 50 parts per million PCBs generated by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District from June 23 to August 17, 2007 at the Veolia Emerald Park Landfill in Muskego, Wis. The comment period runs from Dec. 23 to Jan. 10, 2008. Written comments on the proposed disposal plan can be sent to EPA in several ways:
