WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF
AGRICULTURAL WORKER PROTECTION PROGRAM

David Deegan 202-564-7839 / deegan.dave@epa.gov

To contribute to the nationwide assessment of the Agricultural Worker Protection Program, EPA, along with the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation, will co-host the third in a series of workshops on July 30 - Aug. 1. The workshop, to be held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida (near Orlando), is part of a series of efforts designed to assess implementation and enforcement efforts associated with EPA’s Agricultural Worker Protection Program, which is designed to protect agricultural farm workers from exposure to pesticides. This workshop will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to formulate solutions to issues identified in earlier workshops. Facilitated work group sessions will address issues in the areas of training, enforcement, communication and the integration of this program with other pesticide worker safety programs. The workshop will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Lake Buena Vista. For more information on this meeting or on the previous workshops, see: https://www.epa.gov/oppfead1/safety/ .
