RECEIVE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Browner to Detail Administration Accomplishments in Enforcing the
Nation’s Environmental Laws and Helping the Nation’s Business Community Meet the Environmental Challenges of the 21st Century


U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will address the Environmental Law Section of the New York State Bar Association on Friday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m., in New York City. Browner will outline the Clinton Administration’s accomplishments in enforcing our nation’s environmental laws and helping the nation’s business community meet the environmental challenges of the 21st Century. Following the speech, Administrator Browner will receive a lifetime achievement award. Browner will also discuss the Clinton Administration’s efforts to build livable communities into the next millennium, including the Better America Bonds initiative which will provide tax credits to help communities preserve and enhance green spaces, protect water quality, and clean up brownfields – this nation’s abandoned industrial properties.
