Event:
Tour water quality-related improvements made at Lewis Farm funded by EPA. Project directed toward minimizing manure and nutrient runoff. Farmer Dale Lewis won an Environmental Merit Award from EPA in 1997 for his efforts.

    • Hear the results of water quality monitoring of the brook running through the farm from Steve Dickens of the River Watch Network -testing before, during, and after the improvements were made showed a corresponding improvement in the health of the aquatic community in Morris Brook
    • Learn about the success of nutrient management planning in Grafton County-a win-win situation for local farmers and rivers -from Tom Buob, Cooperative Extension Specialist
    • Learn about pest management planning, funded by the CRJC Partnership Program

Bradford fire station off Route 5 just south of town
Event:
Meeting to discuss recent flooding in Bradford and role of Interstate 91 and other development in the watershed. Also will talk with Bradford Emergency Management Officer Gary Moore to learn about recent events in Bradford, one of a number of small towns that were hit hard with heavy rains earlier this summer, and experienced substantial flood damage
