Recycle Old Computers and Help the Environment - EPA's Hosts Capital Area eCycling Event

(Washington, D.C. - April 16, 2008) EPA, Dell Inc., TechTurn and the National Recycling Coalition are joining together to encourage greater Washington, D.C. area residents and businesses to recycle unwanted computer equipment and cell phones for Earth Day. Recycling electronics is something every American can do to protect the planet and to encourage the sustainable reuse of materials.

Bring any make or model of computers and related equipment, including: computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, laptops, cell phones, PDAs and accessories to Freedom Plaza, and they will be collected and safely recycled for free. Please remove all data from the computer's hard drive and any removable media such as disks, PC cards, flash drives, CD-ROMs.
