David Deegan, 202-564-7839; deegan.dave@epa.gov

A workgroup of the Committee to Advise on Reassessment and Transition (CARAT) will address the public participation process for EPA’s regulatory consideration of the potential cumulative risks of pesticides. EPA is holding a public meeting of the workgroup on June 28, to be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Old Town, located at 901 North Fairfax St., Alexandria, VA; telephone 703-683-6000. An agenda for the meeting will be posted online at www.epa.gov/pesticides/carat/. The meeting announcement will be published in the Federal Register shortly (and will also be available on EPA’s web site at www.epa.gov/fedrgstr). EPA and the U.S. Department of Agriculture formed CARAT as a means of continuing to obtain advice from stakeholders on issues related to EPA’s implementation of the Food Quality Protection Act.
