Time Changed for Children’s Environmental Health Awareness Day Tomorrow at Deerwood Academy in Atlanta

(Atlanta, Ga. – Dec. 12, 2008) Children’s Health Environmental Awareness Day will be held at Deerwood Academy in Atlanta, Ga., on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008. The theme for the event is “Youth Creating a New Climate for Action.” EPA will emphasize the importance of understanding the potential impacts of climate change on children’s health.

During this event, EPA will assist students by conducting a series of exciting and educational environmental activities, focusing on topics such as: asthma "triggers;" climate change; energy usage; lead-based paint hazards; recycling and sun safety.
