U.S. EPA ADMINISTRATOR BROWNER TRAVELS TO MIAMI TO RECEIVE
NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY AWARD AND SPEAK ON THE ADMINISTRATION’S ACTIONS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH IN FLORIDA


U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will travel to Miami, Fla., on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to receive the National Audubon Society’s 1998 “Guy Bradley Lifetime Conservation Award,” and speak on Clinton Administration actions to protect the environment and public health, including restoring the Everglades, and ensuring safe, clean water for South Florida.
The 1998 Guy Bradley Lifetime Conservation Award is one of the National Audubon Society’s most prestigious awards and is presented each year to honor an individual who has provided exemplary leadership and service to the conservation of the South Florida Ecosystem.

Directions: Take I-95 South to US 1. Follow US 1 to Le Jeune Road (S.W. 42nd Avenue) and make a left onto Le Jeune Road. Follow to traffic circle (Le Jeune Road ends at circle), and go halfway around the traffic circle, and turn right on to Old Cutler Road. Fairchild Tropical Gardens is located approximately 2 miles south just past Matheson.
