EPA Awards Over $900,000 to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality

(Dallas, Texas – December 7, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $932,000 to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). The funds will be used to provide alternative water supplies and relocation of residents at sites where underground storage tank releases occurred and the responsible party is unknown, unwilling or unable to respond. The funds will also be used for investigations, emergency responses, remediation and risk assessment.
