EIGHT PUBLIC MEETINGS ON DIOXIN REASSESSMENT
TO BE HELD IN SIX CITIES

Public meetings concerning the draft dioxin reassessment documents released on Sept. 13 will be held Dec. 8-17 in the following locations: in Herndon, Va., near Dulles Airport at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 8-9; in New York City at the Haft Theater, 227 West 27th St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 12; in Newark, N.J. at the New Jersey Institute of Technology ballroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 13; in Chicago at the EPA Regional office, 77 West Jackson St. (12th floor) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 14; in San Francisco at the EPA Regional office, 75 Hawthorne St.(conference center) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 16; in San Franciso at the ANA Hotel, 50 Third St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 17; in Arlington, Texas at the University of Texas, Rosebud Theater, 301 West 2nd St.from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 13; in Arlington, Texas at the University of Texas SWEET Center, 406 Summit Drive from 7 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 13. These meetings are being held to provide opportunity for interested parties to present to EPA both oral and written comments on EPA's Draft Dioxin Reassessment. Those wishing to make oral comments are asked to pre-register before Dec. 3 by calling 202-260-5959 (instructions will be provided on a recorded message). Oral comments will be limited to five minutes, though extended comments can be submitted in writing. Requests made after Dec. 3 will be honored at each meeting on a firstcome, first-served basis. Written comments can be submitted until Jan. 13, 1995 by writing to: Technical Information Staff (8601), Office of Health and Environmental Assessment, EPA, Washington, D.C. 20460. Note that there are two documents to the draft dioxin reassessment, each of them containing three volumes. It is important that any submission be labelled, "Comments on Dioxin Health Assessment Document" or "Comments on Dioxin Exposure Assessment Document." If commenting on both documents, separate comments should be submitted. Submissions for oral testimony or written submissions should be made in triplicate.
