EPA Announces First World Water Monitoring Day- International Effort Seeks Volunteer Involvement in Protecting Water Quality

(08/06/03) Officials from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, America’s Clean Water Foundation, and the International Water Association will announce World Water Monitoring Day – Oct. 18, 2003 – a global educational platform for environmental leaders, experts, educators, and trained volunteers to help their communities better understand and participate in protecting water quality. As part of the announcement, there will be a demonstration of a simple kit that will be used to monitor water quality around the world.
