EPA’S ENDOCRINE DISRUPTOR SCREENING AND TESTING ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET MARCH 17 - 18 IN BALTIMORE

EPA will hold the eighth meeting of its Endocrine Disruptor Screening and Testing Advisory Committee (EDSTAC) at the Sheraton International Hotel at Baltimore Washington International Airport on March 17-18, 1998. EDSTAC members will discuss final modifications to the EDSTAC preliminary draft report presented at the last EDSTAC meeting held on Feb. 3-4, 1998. A public comment period will not be held during this meeting, although written comments may be sent in care of the Keystone Center at the address below. The next opportunity for public comment will be on the final draft report in April. The two-day meeting is scheduled to adjourn at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18. The EDSTAC was established in November 1996 to advise the Agency on developing a strategy to screen and test chemicals, including pesticides, for their potential to disrupt endocrine functions in humans, fish and other wildlife.
