EPA, Girl Scouts Council of Nortwest Georgia to Host Girl Scouts Environmental Awareness Day

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the Northwest Georgia Girl Scouts Council, will host Environmental Awareness Day on Saturday, October 23, 2004 to celebrate EPA's commitment to Children's Health. The Girl Scouts will spend the day in a series of interactive sessions conducted by over 50 volunteers from the EPA and Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital. The volunteers will help the Girl Scouts earn their environmental health and eco-action badges by conducting a series of stations that include storm water run off, recycling, pollution prevention, vehicle emissions testing, asthma education, lead awareness, female environmental champions, energy and more.
