EPA-USDA TOLERANCE REASSESSMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON JULY 28 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.


The EPA-USDA Tolerance Reassessment Advisory Committee (TRAC) will hold its next meeting on July 28 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert St. N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004 (telephone: 202-756-5113). TRAC workgroup sessions will be held on Monday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the same location (limited seating will be available for workgroup sessions). The TRAC was established in April 1998 to provide EPA and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) with guidance on implementing the 1996 Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA). The committee will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28. All meetings are open to the public and both written and oral statements from observers are welcome. Oral statements presented during the committee meeting will be limited to 2-3 minutes by one person per organization. Written statements can be filed before or after the meeting. TRAC was established as a subcommittee under the EPA National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT). The TRAC is planning to hold one more meeting in September.
