TODAY: US EPA Administrator to Deliver Remarks at National Association of Regulatory Utility in Dallas

DALLAS – (July 14, 2014) Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy will deliver remarks at the National Association of Regulatory Utility (NARUC) summer meeting. Administrator McCarthy’s speech will focus on climate change with an emphasis on the Clean Power Plan proposal, a vital piece of President Obama's Climate Action Plan, which for the first time cuts carbon pollution from existing power plants, the single largest source of carbon pollution in the United States.

The NARUC Summer Committee Meetings will combine utility regulators from federal, state and international officials. Participants will learn about the latest in regulatory trends and best practices. Participants will also learn current and essential utility sectors, including electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, and water information.
