Environmental Injustice Toolkit Released, Comments Solicited

(11/20/2003) EPA is soliciting public comment on the draft document, “Toolkit for Assessing Potential Allegations of Environmental Injustice,” a compilation of reference materials with a two-fold purpose: to assist Agency personnel in assessing potential allegations of environmental injustice and to provide a framework for understanding national policy on environmental justice. The Agency defines environmental justice as the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations and policies; for general information, go to: https://www.epa.gov/compliance/environmentaljustice/index.html .
