Approximately 30 federal employees were nominations by their peers and were selected by a non-federal Blue Ribbon panel to receive awards for distinguished efforts beyond the scope of their jobs.

"The Federal Executive Board is proud to sponsor the Interagency Awards Program. This year's theme for National Public Service Week is 'Public Service: Working for You, Working for America.' I can think of no better time to honor the men and women in the DFW area who serve our nation through public service, "Chairman of the DFW Federal Executive Board Alan Harper said.

Joining Mr. Harper will be Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Bob Ray Sanders, who is keynote speaker for the event. The award winners will receive a plaque and will be joined by their managers, associates and relatives.
