(Washington, D.C.- June 25, 2004) Leading innovators in advancing industrial ecology will receive 2004 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Awards on June 28 in a ceremony at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C.

The Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge program seeks to advance pollution prevention and industrial ecology. The Green Chemistry Challenge promotes research to develop less-toxic alternatives to existing technologies, and to reduce or eliminate waste generation in industrial production.
