CHICAGO (Apr. 17, 2007)

WHO: Mayor Richard M. Daley has invited EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson and Regional Administrator Mary A. Gade as special guests to Chicago’s Earth Day launch event.

WHAT: Administrator Johnson will make remarks and announce EPA’s new Green Schools Challenge, a regional program to teach children about the environment and help them apply what they learn to real-life situations in their schools and communities. EPA will present Chicago Public School students with a grant to help fund environmental actions.
