Media Advisory: EPA Briefing At Marshall Township Cleanup Site, June 16, 11 a.m.

(CHICAGO – June 14, 2010) U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 is nearing completion of a Superfund hazardous waste cleanup at Midwest Metallurgical Laboratories, a shuttered iron-casting business at 15290 15 Mile Road, Marshall Township, in Calhoun County near Battle Creek, Mich. Work at the site began May 11.

A media briefing will be held at the site at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 16. Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment and local officials will also be available.

The site is an active construction site. Please wear appropriate shoes.
