New Castle County Resident Honored with EPA Employee Award

PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s mid-Atlantic region presented its Administrative Excellence Award to Pamela McCray, of New Castle County, Delaware.

McCray, the executive office manager for the region’s deputy regional administrator, was honored for her superior administrative skill and proficiency.

“Pam McCray is masterful at coordinating administrative matters, and she is often asked to assume numerous duties because it is known that she can manage multiple tasks extraordinarily well,” said last year’s award recipient Benita Graham, who made the announcement at the May 11 employee recognition ceremony.

McCray has been with the U.S. EPA since 1991, most recently in the Office of Regional Counsel. Originally from North Carolina, McCray has a total of 19 years of total government service.

EPA’s mid-Atlantic region covers Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
