EPA Employees Honored for Recruitment

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded bronze medals for superior service to two employees.

Kathleen Kirkland of south-west Philadelphia was recognized for helping develop an innovative employee recruitment program.  Kirkland an office manager, has worked for more than a year at EPA.

Gary Morton of north Philadelphia received an award for helping develop an innovative employee recruitment program. Morton a civil investigator, has worked at EPA for seven years.

"These employees recognized deserve applause for their hard work.  Thanks to them, the mid-Atlantic Region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
