EPA schedules three neighborhood meetings for South Minneapolis soil contamination site

CHICAGO (May. 19, 2006) — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has scheduled three open house-style neighborhood meetings to answer questions and update residents about the ongoing South Minneapolis Soil Contamination sampling and cleanup project.

Meetings will be held

• Wednesday, May 24, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Mathews Recreation Center, 2318 28th Avenue S.;
• Wednesday, May 31, YWCA, 2121 Lake Street E., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.; and
• Wednesday, June 7, Powderhorn Park, 3400 15th Avenue S., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
