WIGGINS HEADS LIAISON, COORDINATION WITH 10 AGENCY REGIONS

James Wiggins has been appointed EPA Deputy Associate Administrator with responsibility for liaison with the Agency’s 10 regions and the integration of national policy and regional operations. He also will manage a geographic initiatives program designed as an incubator for innovative approaches to address local environmental efforts. Wiggins, a native of New Orleans, was a businessman there for over 10 years in hazardous waste cleanup and environmental testing. He was involved with numerous environmental and industry associations, including the Air & Waste Management Association, the Water Environment Federation and the Task Force on Discrimination in New Orleans. Wiggins is an alumnus of Louisiana Tech.
