EPA Employees Honored for Outstanding Work

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded bronze medals for superior achievement to two employees.

Joanne Cassidy of the Tacony section of Philadelphia was recognized for her contribution in enforcing underground storage tank upgrade requirements for more than 100,000 tanks in Region III.  Cassidy is an environmental specialist and has worked at EPA for 18 years.

Donna Sutsko was recognized for the planning, design and implementation of the GreenLease Project, which enforced enviromental values at EPA’s new offices at 1650 Arch St.  Sutsko, from the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, is a facilities project manager and EPA employee for ten years.

"These employees deserve applause for their hard work.  Thanks to them, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
